Some things are too important to stay in a drawer. A note in your mum's handwriting, a quote that found you at the right moment, words written by someone you love. This is where they live permanently, on a piece that gives you two things in one.
A candle first, a mug forever
This piece starts life as a hand-poured soy candle, in one of my ceramic mugs, with your words fired permanently into the glaze. Once the candle has burned down, simply clean out the ceramic and start using it as your everyday mug, your words stay with you long after the candle is gone.

Choose your piece
Pick the mug shape you'd like your candle poured into. All shapes are handmade in my studio.

Send me the words
Upload your photo, note, illustration, or quote directly on the product page. Any format works. The better the quality, the sharper it will appear on your piece.

I prepare your design with care
I remove the background so only your text, drawing, or illustration remains clean and ready to be placed on your piece exactly where it should be.

Fired, then hand-poured
Your image is permanently transferred into the glaze using specialist waterslide paper, fired at up to 800°C. Once the ceramic is ready, I hand-pour the soy wax candle into it myself.

Packed & on its way to you
Carefully packed with a handwritten note from me inside, along with a small note on how to enjoy the candle safely and turn it into your mug once it's done. Shipped within 1 to 3 weeks. You will receive an email as soon as your piece goes into the kiln.
The image appears exactly as you send it, including brightness, shadows, and any imperfections. A slightly faded note will look slightly faded on the ceramic. Want something adjusted before I start? Email info@isaceramics.nl and I will always get back to you personally.
Waterslide decal paper
Your image is printed onto specialist waterslide paper and applied to the ceramic before firing. This is what makes the detail so precise.
Fired at 800°C
At that heat, your image fuses into the glaze and becomes a permanent part of the ceramic itself. Not a sticker. Not a print. Part of the piece.
Hand-poured soy wax
Once the ceramic is fired, I pour a 100% natural soy wax candle into it by hand, made to burn cleanly and evenly.
Naturally imperfect
Slight variations in colour and texture are a natural part of handmade ceramics. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Because this piece is personalised, it cannot be returned. If your piece arrives damaged, please send a photo to info@isaceramics.nl within 48 hours and I will arrange a solution.
This piece has two lives, here's how to care for it during both.
While it's a candle
- Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn
- Burn for 2 to 3 hours at a time, for the most even melt
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Stop burning once about 1cm of wax remains
Once it becomes your mug
- Let any remaining wax fully harden, then gently pop it out
- Wash with warm soapy water to remove any residue
- Dishwasher safe on the lower rack, handwash recommended
- Microwave safe
- Avoid sudden temperature changes
Yes! Once the candle has burned down, gently remove any remaining wax and give the ceramic a good wash. It's dishwasher and microwave safe, ready for daily use, with your words still permanently on it.
Any format works a photo, screenshot, or digital file. The better the quality, the sharper it will appear on your piece. If you are unsure whether your image will work well, email info@isaceramics.nl before ordering and I will take a look.
